Team-based learning is a commonly adopted pedagogical approach across disciplines. While team-based learning offers a wide range of positive outcomes for students, one of the challenges instructors often face is handling students' loafing behavior–withholding individual efforts in team collaboration, which can hinder both students and instructors from accomplishing intended learning outcomes.
