In four weeks, you will learn practical skills that help you manage stress and open your mind. This is a secular mindfulness course based on the popular 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This class meets once a week virtually for 75 minutes for four weeks. During classes we discuss key mindfulness concepts, share our experiences, and learn nearly a dozen mindfulness techniques. Please plan on attending all four classes. FRIDAYS, JUNE 6 - JUNE 27, 9:00 - 10:15AM. Outside of class, you will: Read the book, The Mindful Twenty-Something (pay no attention to the age-restrictive title, this book is for anyone) – this book is included with registration in a PDF copy. Commit to meditating 10 minutes a day and record your reflections on the app provided to you during registration. Your teacher responds to your reflections on the app throughout the course, offering you coaching, motivation, and support.
