This month's program will highlight Black Heritage Month with Dr. Nina Monet Reynoso, Assistant Professor in WEST. Dr. Monet Reynoso will focus on the idea of “Rage as a praxis of love: Black liberation across time and place” and will discuss how the Combahee River Raid organized and led by Harriet Tubman in 1863 inspired the Combahee River Collective of the 1970s. The lecture will be followed with a brief section of discussion and Q&A. Free lunch is provided. In person attendance is highly encouraged. If you would like to attend virtually, here is the link. To continue your engagement with the history and significance of heritage and identity months, you can check out the educational resource pages on the Care & Belonging website.
