The holiday season is off to a not-so-jolly start for one mysterious public figure and the underpaid interns in charge of his social media presence.

Batman’s PR team took to social media to combat the allegations made about his odor in a popular “Jingle Bells” parody.

“These comments accusing Batman of smelling are completely unfounded. Bats are notoriously hygienic creatures,” wrote a representative for Batman on X.

To discount the rumors of Batman’s odor, he posted a video of his shower routine wearing nothing but his mask for anonymity’s sake.

In the video, Batman used an entire bottle of Bath and Body Works’ Winter Candy Apple scented body wash and revealed a walk-in closet piled floor to ceiling with the product.

“I’m obsessed with this stuff,” Batman said in the video while lathering himself in slow motion.

A spokesperson for Bath and Body Works confirmed that an unidentified party bought out all stock of Winter Candy Apple body wash from every Bath and Body Works in the Gotham City area just a day before the video was released.

Following this revelation, rumors began circulating on social media that the video was a PR stunt, and teenage girls from across Gotham City were quick to express their anger at not being able to buy their favorite seasonal scent.

Now in a much worse situation than when they started, Batman’s PR team held a press conference to address the situation.

At the press conference, a reporter for the Scribe said, “Is everyone forgetting about the second half of the song? Who cares if he smells? Joker got away. Shouldn’t we care we more about addressing whether there’s a psycho serial killer on the loose?”

The reporter was then pelted with tomatoes because the public wanted to “focus on what’s really important.”

The press conference concluded with Batman’s spokesperson saying, “Batman smells and that’s OK,” which has now become a viral hashtag on X. Millions are rushing to commend Batman’s bravery in publicly owning his unfortunate odor.

The harrowing story of the misunderstood superhero has inspired director of the theater and dance program Levin Kandis to stage a production of his original show, “Bats the Musical,” at the Ent Center.

Kandis said the show will combine the plot of the scandal with visual references to the Suprematism movement and a German Reggae soundtrack. At press time, he hoped the audience is able to “dream into the work” and did not respond to follow up questions on what that meant.
