Log on Join us for a 30-minute virtual stretch and movement session that can be done from your desk! Deskercises are a great way to get some movement and boost your mood at midday! Instructor Bio: Dr. Emily is a health science instructor here at UCCS! Her yoga training is called Yoga Sport Science (YSS), which aims to integrate yoga practice into performance training. YSS is also an excellent tool in teaching basic movement skills, and Emily has applied this yoga practice in her own training, conducting general yoga classes, and with sport teams over the last decade. Her goal in all yoga is to make learning movement fun. The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience, with financial support from the CU President’s Fund, launched CREATE in 2022 to foster community and lifetime resilience. FREE introductory artistic and wellness programming, resilience-based workshops and facilitated discussion/support groups are offered FREE to UCCS employees. We thank our local community artists and UCCS departments, staff and faculty who have contributed their time and expertise and remain dedicated to the CREATE initiative.
