- Apr 1–30Sexual Assault Awareness MonthMonday, April 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.: The Wellness Wagon will be handing out teal ribbons, resources, and snacks. Tuesday, April 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The Wellness Wagon will be handing out teal ribbons, resources, and snacks. Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Find Your Voices and the Kramer Family Library will be hosting denim patch painting in the Student Life Lounge. Week of April 8: Paint the Campus Teal! Look for teal ribbons painted on the windows around campus to raise awareness for SAAM. Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m.: The student-led UCCS Annual Slut Walk will start on the steps outside Columbine Hall. The march against the culture of sexual assault, harassment, and slut shaming, is open to all. Wednesday, April 24: Denim Day. The UCCS community is encouraged to wear denim to take a stand against sexual violence. The first 100 students to visit the Student Life Lounge will receive a $5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts for participating in Denim Day. Why denim? Learn more here.
