- DescriptionOn January 23 and 24, the Cabaret Club at the Ent Center for the Arts returns with an exciting concert reading of "The Forgotten Arm," a tender and darkly comic tale of recovery, loss, and love by acclaimed musician Aimee Mann and playwright Jonathan Marc Sherman. Directed by Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of New York City’s Public Theater, this developing work comes to us fresh from a workshop run at the renowned Joe’s Pub in New York.
Aimee Mann will be live on stage performing along with other actors and musicians, blending live music and acting in an intimate, informal setting. In a concert reading, actors perform with scripts in hand, creating a uniquely personal and engaging experience. The Cabaret Club is known for featuring extraordinary artists and luminaries presenting new works still in development. During the week leading up to the show, Mann and the team will workshop new ideas while in residence at UCCS.
Audiences can expect a full, captivating performance in a club-like atmosphere—complete with drinks—breaking from the conventions of a traditional theater setting. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of the great songwriters of our time in this unique and innovative format! Visit the Ent Center for the Arts ticketing page to purchase tickets.
