Join us for another innovative cooking class with Chef Meghan! In this fun and tasty hands on cooking class you will learn a delicious variety of Mediterranean small plates, including Shrimp Kabobs, Homemade Pita, Patatas Brava, Kofta Kabab, Salad, Spanakopita, and dip! Come hungry, leave with new skills, and enjoy the tastes of your own creations with your fellow classmates! Facilitated by Chef Meghan (UCCS Center for Active Living): Chef Meghan, a Colorado Springs native, has a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from UCCS, is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and a Certified Natural Food Chef. After years of struggling with chronic illness, Meghan has found her passion in inspiring others to take control of their health. Meghan incorporates mindful cooking techniques and enjoy teaching others how much fun cooking can be! The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience, with financial support from the CU President’s Fund, launched CREATE in 2022 to foster community and lifetime resilience. FREE introductory artistic and wellness programming, resilience-based workshops and facilitated discussion/support groups are offered FREE to UCCS employees.
