- May 75:00 PMF.A.M. Graduation Celebration!"You did it, F.A.M.!" Celebrate our first-generation and multicultural (F.A.M.) graduates with a fun night of recognition, food, and photos! This celebration will focus on honoring the impact of students working towards access, inclusion, community, and paving pathways in and through higher education for historically minoritized and underrepresented communities. Students will receive first-generation cords, international cords, lavender stoles, MOSAIC stoles, and the Pre-Collegiate stoles during this ceremony. Graduating in May? Please register for the ceremony using the QR Code or Event URL even if you are unable to attend the ceremony. This will help each office with having enough stoles and cords available for graduates. Hosted on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Berger Hall by First2Go, International Affairs, the MOSAIC, and the Pre-Collegiate Development Program. This event is free and open to all UCCS students, staff, and faculty. This event aims to be accessible. Information on the stoles provided during this celebration: MOSAIC (orange) stoles are bestowed upon students who have been consistently involved in the Center, served as strong advocates for inclusion, and/or established or participated in support systems for those who hold marginalized identities. Lavender LGBTQ+ stoles are bestowed upon students have been members of LGBTQ+ clubs and organizations at UCCS and the surrounding Colorado Springs community. International (green and blue) cords are bestowed upon international students and scholars. First-generation college student (green) cords are bestowed upon students who neither their parents or guardians received a bachelor's degree in the United States. Pre-Collegiate stoles are bestowed upon students who were in Pre-Collegiate while in middle school and/or high school and are graduating from UCCS, and to student staff working at Pre-Collegiate who are receiving their degrees.
