Join the UCCS Peer Support Team in making cards for parents, grandparents, special family members, and those you are grateful for! Spread the love to your colleagues, family, and friends, and learn about the UCCS Peer Support program. All materials are provided. Led by Nicole Weis, LPC, LAC, Director of Community Training and Empowerment and Peer Support Program Coordinator. Bio: Nicole Weis is a 2016 graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Master’s in Clinical Psychology program, with an emphasis in trauma. Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor. In her role at the Institute, Nicole provides Peer Support training to several organizations in Colorado, teaches the Trauma Training for Professionals online program, and manages the GRIT Coaching Program. Nicole is skilled in de-escalation and specializes in working with first responders and personal and community crises. The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience, with financial support from the CU President’s Fund, launched CREATE in 2022 to foster community and lifetime resilience. FREE introductory artistic and wellness programming, resilience-based workshops and facilitated discussion/support groups are offered FREE to UCCS employees.
