- Mar 88:00 AMFinal 2025 English ShowsDates: March 8 & 9 March 8- Regular English Show March 9-English Regionals Join the UCCS Equestrian team and other competing schools for the first English competition at the UCCS Equestrian Center located at 18550 Midway Ranch Rd, Fountain, CO 80817. You can find directions to this location by googling Diamond J Equestrian Center on Google (you may see it pop up as Five Star Equestrian Center they are the same place). We will meet around 8 am both days and shows typically end around 3-4 pm (More details about meeting times will be updated via GroupMe closer to competition dates). There will be food at concessions to enjoy, so feel free to help support the team by buying food and snacks there! Carpooling may be an option if members wish to do so (More info closer to competition dates on GroupMe). ***Please Note!!*** Google Maps gets confused about the entrance to the center, so follow the directions past the proposed entrance and continue until there is a very deep dip in the road. At the top of that hill, the entrance will appear. As you drive down the driveway, there will be a fork in the road, take a left, and continue driving past the barns to the outdoor arena area. There, there may already be some horses out, so drive slow and be cautious. Keep driving until you reach a field across from the auto center (there will be a lot of broken-down cars in pieces). You may park anywhere in that area, as long as it is not part of the auto center (aka, don't park next to the car pieces). If you are coming for the vibes and to support your teammates/friends/family be sure to bring: -A blanket and/or a folding chair (the metal benches are cold, so blankets are nice to have) -Sunblock!! Even if it is forecasted to be cloudy, the show will be outside in the elements -Water (if you forget, concessions will have some you can buy) -Comfortable and closed-toed shoes that are ok to get dirty/muddy and are preferably safe around horses (hiking boots are always a great idea for the layman) -Sunglasses can be nice to have and/or a hat -Money for concessions and other snacks! If you are competing, be sure to bring: -Water! (not just a Redbull or other energy drink) -Sunblock!!! -A separate warm outfit for the day during non-competing hours -Separate comfy and horse-safe footwear -Hand warmer packets can be nice in chilly weather -Folding chair and/or blanket -Navy or black (Navy is standard Black is ok) hunter/jumper show jacket -White show shirt with a high collar (no other color visible) -Tan breeches (NOT full seat) -Tall, black show boots -Wool or otherwise warm socks (it's cold this time of year!) -Hair net that matches your hair color (yellow/tan for blonde, black for dark brown/black hair, etc.) -Black gloves with no visible logo -Helmet (and helmet cover if it is not naturally black or dark grey in color) This event is free to non-competing members! We hope to see you there!Hosted by: Equestrian TeamAdditional Information can be found at: https://mlc.uccs.edu/event/10931606
